The Norfolk Island Customs service manages the security and integrity of Norfolk Island's borders, works towards minimising the risk of illicit imports, collects revenue on dutiable goods and ensures compliance with the Norfolk Island Customs legislation in a friendly professional manner.

Customs Officers work very closely with other government agencies, and in particular Norfolk Island Health and Quarantine, Norfolk Island Immigration and the Norfolk Island Police to detect and deter unlawful movement of goods and people across the border.

Norfolk Island Customs also maintains links with the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service, Australian Coastwatch, Oceania Customs Organisation(OCO), New Zealand Customs, and other regional and relevant organisations.
